Intelligent Control Institute of Sichuan University was founded in 1994, for the support of professional research team is based on the disciplines of School of Electronics and Information Enginerring, Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems.

The institute committed to control engineering, information technology and the hydrologic research and application development. The research activities embrace an array of diverse yet related fields including:

Optimal distribution of water resources

Integrated information management system based on GIS (Geographical Information System)

Remote sensing image processing and analysis for irrigation water demand analysis

Wireless intelligent sensor network application development

Irrigated area information system integrated development and research

Mountain torrent and flood monitoring and warning system research and development, etc.

Up to now, the institute has published more than 100 papers. The research members have also undertaken nearly 10 projects granted by National and Province Science Foundation.
